Lead Me to You

Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell. Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and my delight. Psalm 43:3-4

Enlighten my mind to your will, O Lord, and wrap it in your loving kindness. Let me receive it with joy, as a treasure of endless worth, designed specifically by you to shape me into who you have called me to be. May the desire of my heart be to walk upon the path that you have prepared for me, so that I may accomplish your purposes and glorify you in all I do. Remove the stubbornness of my own selfish will and my desire for the fading glory of this world, and replace them with the comfort and security of your everlasting arms.

I want to sit at the foot of your holy mountain, Lord, for only when I am in your presence is my purpose clear and my future bright. At your altar, I can see with such clarity what it means to be truly alive and to experience a joy that is unlike anything else that the world offers. What great rewards there are in making you the deepest desire of my heart, but none is greater than simply being with you. Nothing in this world can offer unending joy and peace in the midst of any circumstances, but your presence can. May the footsteps of my life always follow the path you have created for me, so that with every step I am being led to you.
